DKSH, the leading Market Expansion Services provider with a focus on Asia, and DEKA JAPAN have signed an exclusive distribution agreement for DEKA’s laser and energy-based systems in Japan.

Tokyo, Japan, August 17, 2017 – DKSH Business Unit Technology, a leading Market Expansion Services provider for technology companies and DEKA JAPAN, a leading global medical laser company, have signed an exclusive agreement to provide DEKA with marketing, sales, distribution and logistics for its laser and energy-based systems in Japan.

DEKA’s systems are used in the fields of medicine and aesthetics, surgery and dentistry, among others.

While DKSH will be in charge with overall marketing and commercial activities from October 1, DEKA JAPAN will continue to maintain homologation duties for its Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA) services.

“We are very excited about this strong partnership with DKSH Japan. Our extensive effort to increase market presence of DEKA’s regulatory approved products will be supported by DKSH Japan’s market knowledge and systematic market development system. DKSH is one of the oldest companies still active in Japan since the 19th century and it is impressively known in Japan,” said Ms. Mariko Yuki, DEKA JAPAN’s President.

“We are very pleased having found a reliable partner with leading technology and extensive experience worldwide to enter the fast-growing market of medical devices. DKSH’s broad customer network in the medical industry makes us the partner of choice for DEKA JAPAN's business expansion,” added Yasuo Hayashi, Executive Officer, Technology, DKSH Japan.

DKSH and DEKA JAPAN are planning to rapidly increase sales in Japan in a short term, after getting approval from the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA) for the current submissions.
