DKSH presented a donation of RM 10,000 to Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim dan OKU Mesra in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, December 13, 2017 – DKSH, the leading Market Expansion Services provider with a focus on Asia, today presented a donation of RM 10,000 to Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim dan OKU Mesra in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

 

The proceeds were raised through the Alladdin Color Run 2017, a charity run organized by Fantree Club, DKSH’s sports and recreation club. This year’s charity run marked the fifth fundraising event with main sponsor Alladdin. Other sponsors this year included Indocafe and Red Bull.

 

Speaking at the check presentation, Nicholas McLaren, Head Country Management, DKSH Malaysia, said: “As a corporate citizen, we are committed to make a positive impact on the local community and society at large. Central to the success of our corporate social responsibility initiatives are our 4,000 employees in DKSH Malaysia who display passion, one of our corporate values, beyond the work sphere.”

 

Gan Wen Nie, General Manager, Finance – Healthcare, DKSH Malaysia and President of Fantree Club, added: “Fantree Club has been organizing Alladdin’s charity fundraising runs since 2011. With this year’s Alladdin Color Run, we are happy to gather employees alongside families and friends for a good cause. The money raised will alleviate the daily expenses at Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim dan OKU Mesra which houses 29 members after having been set up only middle of last year.”

 

Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim dan OKU Mesra is a non-profit charity organization established in August 2016. It started with providing care for five physically challenged children and today, the center provides shelter and care for 29 children and adults with physical disabilities from low-income families. Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim dan OKU Mesra relies on generous donations and voluntary assistance from the public to support its welfare services.

 

DKSH employees, together with families and friends, donned their running shoes for a good cause at Alladdin Color Run 2017 which took place at Taman Botani Shah Alam, together raising RM 10,000 for Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim dan OKU Mesra, Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
