    Setting new records on Singles' Day

    Singles' Day, boasting the world’s largest e-commerce sales volume within a 24-hour period, takes place every year in China on November 11 – and through Alibaba's acquisitions, moving into South East Asia. On this day in 2016, through our partnership with eSweets, e-commerce sales grew 250% from last year to a staggering RMB 10 million, with over 70,000 parcels delivered to Chinese online consumers.

    One of the key festivals in many Asian countries each year is the mid-autumn festival, where gifting mooncakes symbolizes a long-standing tradition and blessing of happiness and harmony. DKSH Digital collaborated with Maxim's mooncakes to sell this sweet, flaky pastry online in Taiwan. Available across Taiwan’s three key e-commerce channels, Maxim's mooncake sales grew by 188% – in just a single month!

    Using DKSH multi-brand stores as a springboard into e-commerce

    DKSH Digital's very own multi-brand stores, Xmart and D-Fair, are available in Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong. Offering brands an entry point into Asian e-commerce, our multi-brand stores proactively identify opportunities for brands to maximize sales conversions. Last December was our strongest month to date for D-Fair in Thailand with a cumulative monthly sales growth of 160%. Top performing brands include Avent, Hada Labo, Alpecin and DG Goat Milk.

    In North East Asia, Shanghai Sweets, otherwise known in short as eSweets, was founded to introduce premium snacks and confectionery products to the Chinese population via e-commerce. Following DKSH's investment in the company, the two have since joined forces to bring more brands online into China, through both domestic and cross-border trade operations.

    In 2015, DKSH took a stake in aCommerce, a Bangkok-based end-to-end e-commerce service provider. The partnership enables local teams to spearhead the fast-growing e-commerce opportunities in Thailand as well as access into Indonesia and Philippines for our clients and brands.
