DKSH drives growth of JCB in Thailand

DKSH, the leading Market Expansion Services provider with a focus on Asia, partners with JCB, the leading global construction equipment manufacturer, to drive growth of JCB’s business in its core market Thailand.

Bangkok, Thailand, October 6, 2016 – DKSH Business Unit Technology, the leading Market Expansion Services provider for technology companies seeking to grow their business in Asia, will offer sales, parts and service support for the full line of JCB machines – and consequently assist JCB in expanding its market reach in Thailand.

DKSH will support JCB in providing unrivalled business solutions across the construction, quarrying, mining, government and agricultural segments in Thailand. The new partnership will carry a wide range of high-quality and robust construction machinery, including backhoe loaders, tracked excavators, compact excavators, skid steer loaders, telescopic handlers, wheel loading shovels and compactors. DKSH will offer world-class solutions to JCB’s customers in Thailand, thanks to its unmatched experience in the construction market and its demonstrated capabilities in after-sales services and maintenance.

JCB’s customers will be supported from DKSH’s chief base in Wangnoi, with additional branches in Suratthani, Khon Kaen and Lampang. The collaboration between JCB and DKSH results in a wide-reaching and extensive customer service package. This includes a range of state-of-the-art service management tools, one being GPS tracking to determine when a job has been opened or closed at a customer’s site. Additionally, the tools are able to track locations and allow DKSH to calculate their response rate after every assignment. Moreover, DKSH will establish a call center which will be available seven days a week for eight hours each day.

Tom Cornell, Managing Director of JCB Southeast Asia, commented: “Thailand is JCB’s number one market in Southeast Asia and we are delighted to have DKSH as our partner for growth. DKSH brings along tremendous amount of sales and service experience in the construction, quarrying and mining segments and we look forward to working with them closely.”

Jareuk Meekhanthong, Vice President, Business Unit Technology, DKSH Thailand, added: “DKSH has been home in Thailand since 1906, while JCB is already a well-established, reputable brand in the industry as well. We are delighted about this new partnership and to be able to provide a structured approach to penetrate the promising Thai market. Our in-depth knowledge of the sector and unique market insights enable us to offer superior services tailored to the needs of JCB’s customers.”
