Techni Ice products are renowned for having the best ice retention. Dry ice replacement able to be frozen down to dry ice temperatures and not classified as a dangerous good.
1.Place Techni Ice sheet in water (preferably warm water, as hydration will be faster) and scrunch sheet while completely submersed in water to release air bubbles.
2. Allow each sheet to unfold while still submersed so as to absorb water.
*Note: The sheet of Techni ice should be completely submersed during the entire process.
3. Techni Ice will expand to a fully hydrated pack, with each cell about 2cm in width. Massage any lazy cells, which have not expanded.
4. Remove them from the water and towel dry thoroughly. This ensures that any excess water does not become ice on the outside of sheet during the freezing process.
5. Your Techni Ice is ready to freeze or heat.
Place Techni Ice in the freezer for at least 24 hours for best results. Freezer can be set at the lowest possible temperature during the freezing process for even greater performance. It is recommended that Techniice 2ply is frozen with plastic facing down to avoid the textile from sticking to the freezer plate or the textile of another Ice pack.
Techniice can be placed in an agitator type washing machine with some clean towels on a regular wash cycle without the spin cycle. Please ensure washing machine is clean and free from soap residue.

Techni Ice reusable dry ice packs / ice gel packs start as a flat sheet and absorb water through a special one way perforation technology in the surface of the product. This is achieved by scrunching the sheets between your hands whilst immersed in warm water for a few minutes until the air bubbles have escaped. The hydration process will now begin and the cells will swell ready for the products to be used both cold and hot.
The water enters through the surface and activates the polymer, which then swells the sheet into 24 individually sealed cells which enables the product to be flexible when frozen and cut to size.
The polyacrylate polymer can be frozen right down to minus 190C (more than twice as cold as dry ice).
Techni Ice reusable ice packs / gel ice packs are often frozen in blast freezers to minus 80C when used in dry ice applications.
New Techni Ice reusable dry ice packs / gel packs HDR model can be used very successfully even when frozen in domestic household freezers. Techni Ice dry ice packs / gel packs will freeze between minus 18Cand minus 21C when the freezer is adjusted to the maximum setting as opposed to ice or conventional gel packs which only go down to around Minus 1C.
