From basic documentation to advanced life science research – LAS X directly navigates you to brilliant imaging!
You and your team have the same goal in industrial quality control and materials research: To deliver reliable results with confidence. Speed, efficiency, and precision drive your team, powered by a software that facilitates their daily tasks. Leica Application Suite X (LAS X) from Leica Microsystems is the software platform for straightforward imaging and documentation in industrial applications.
The Leica Application Suite (LAS) integrates Leica automated microscopes and digital cameras and provides one common, easy-to-use, consistent user interface.
LAS automation provides faster routine and research analysis while allowing manual operation.
Real-time, high-resolution imaging is performed for life science and industrial applications such as entomology and quality control.
The Leica Application Suite X (LAS X) software has been designed with a focus on usability. It has been developed to guide you through any type of workflow via an explanatory user interface and direct navigation. The underlying capabilities of LAS X can be enhanced with a range of advanced modules and applications to form a powerful microscopy imaging environment. Each LAS X module provides the flexibility to customize a system solution to the users’ individual needs.
Your success depends on delivering customer satisfaction through high quality products. Cleanliness of parts and components determines performance, lifetime, and overall product quality.
As international and regional standards such as ISO, VDA and SAE become more strict in automotive and other industries, rigorous cleanliness analysis is necessary to ensure compliance.
Cleanliness Expert software is an easy-to-use, optimal solution to provide you with reliable, repeatable analysis results specific to your application needs.
With the software module Leica Application Suite X (LAS X) 3D Analysis you can measure various aspects of intracellular structures such as volumes of nuclei, their surface, or distances and angles between the nuclei. Individual 3D objects can be measured with the interactive 3D measurement tool. The analysis wizard guides you through the 3D analysis step by step to obtain automated measurement results, from image pre-processing, threshold adjustments, generation of a 3D binary mask, definition of measurement parameters up to the generation of reports. Alternatively, users can apply 3D processing tools in any order. A key element of the processing tools is the 3D image calculator with the ability to operate complex image analysis formulas.
The Leica Application Suite X (LAS X) software module visualizes samples in three dimensions. It offers a wide variety of brilliant real-time 3D rendering options. Functions include fast rotation, display of 3D images on stereoscopic displays, interactive shadow projection, even combined with transparency projections, isosurface render mode, orthogonal sections, annotations, 3D crop tool, or editing of 4D data sets to produce impressive animated movie sequences.
LAS X 3D Visualization is available as Basic and Advanced Module.
Quality is essential. The quality of steel is heavily dependent on purity - which is defined by several factors, such as the amount of non-metallic inclusions. Inclusions can develop when alloying and manufacturing the steel and will affect forming, fatigue strength and corrosion resistance.
Whether for quality control, incoming goods inspection or rating of liability cases, if you have to assess the purity of steel, Leica Steel Expert 2.0 is the software of choice. With only a minimum amount of training you will be able to simply and reliably classify non-metallic inclusions such as sulphides, oxides or even carbonitrides.
In addition to routine non-metallic inclusion rating according to standards like ASTM E45, DIN 50602, EN 10247 and ISO 4967 and the standards based on it, Leica Steel Expert 2.0 can be used in R&D to facilitate the determination and analysis of small inclusions down to the limits of optical resolution.
Leica DMshare allows the wireless transfer of images of selected Microscope Cameras to one or multiple iPad®.
Leica DMshare provides a live display of what you and the camera can see wireless on one or multiple iPads. This makes it easy to visualize images and share the microscope experience with others. This feature is enhanced further when multiple users are connected to the same camera – an excellent setup for teaching and discussion. Taking a picture is easy; you simply tap anywhere inside a large Live Image area on the iPad screen. This design makes it possible to capture images on the iPad whilst viewing through the oculars of your microscope.
Leica Map Start is the entry level software package of the Leica Map series. It is used for viewing and analyzing surface geometry and surface texture from LAS Montage depthmap images.
Capabilities include 3D visualization of surfaces, characterization of basic surface features and calculation of surface texture parameters.
If you combine Leica Map with the highly intuitive desktop publishing environment, it is the perfect solution for measuring industrial surfaces made by Leica microscopes in laboratories, production facilities and research.
