Over ten years experience in thermal stabilization of the machine structures, see XS, FORMULA, INVAR etc., in ensuring the consistency of the machine accuracy in presence of ambient temperature changes, the gantry of the DIAMOND is completely insulated and thermo stabilized thanks to a patented thermal conditioning system, avoiding structural distortions caused by variations in the ambient temperature.

Product description

DIAMOND is a gantry style machining centre with 3 or 5 axis for high speed moulds/dies machining as well as aerospace jobs. It features a monobloc structure with a gantry moving saddle and stationary workpiece. Machine available also in configuration "Linear", with linear motor for 3 machine axes and torque motor for rotary axes.

Key features

The designing process of all structural components for the machine has been accomplished by the most advanced and powerful software for the structural analysis (FEM), static analysis and dynamic analysis to achieve better speed performances and best accuracies (to reduce the machining times).
Specific efforts have been made in the research phase, by our technological departments, on the basic materials and on the components (mechanical, electronic and software) using the most advanced technologies developed in the aerospace industry and racing car industry.
The technological parameters are dictating that to obtain higher speeds and higher dynamic accuracy it is necessary to design and develop structures with less weight and more rigidity (steel insteadoff cast iron)

Currently PARPAS, world market leader in milling and copying of large molds, produces a line of medium-large milling machines with the best technology. Given the initial success, in 1969, ownership decided to set up OMV (Officine Meccaniche Venete) which, since 1972, offered in the market a line of small-medium size machine tools. Originally the proposed range is that of knee-type milling machines, subsequently, in 1974, it mainly directs itself to the production of machine tools featuring stationary bench and movable upright, the first with this particular feature to be built by an Italian company. Today OMV is committed to the realization of high-speed machines that boast, in addition to the working speed, the same precision and flexibility that has always characterized its production. The salient characteristic of PARPAS Group is to build "custom" machine tools, for which design and produce machines on precise specifications of the customer, features well known and recognized worldwide by customers including famous names.
