The double-slide CamGrind L offers brand new design options in camshaft machining, with complete machining for complex workpieces in a single clamping. Particularly in the case of changing machining tasks in mid to high volume production, both cycle times and investment costs can be reduced, with consistently high quality.

Machine description:

  • Compact double-slide machine for cylindrical and noncircular grinding of shaft-type workpieces up to 650 mm in length, height of centres 220 mm
  • Highly productive cross-slide machine for high-volume production
  • Simultaneous complete machining of complex workpieces in a single clamping with max. 4 grinding wheels
  • Arrangement of machine table at 20° angle for optimal rigidity
  • Use of CBN grinding wheels up to 480 mm Ø
  • Digital drives for high-precision axis positioning
  • Simple programming of cam profiles with WOP-S software
  • Machine bed with optimal damping characteristics
  • Consistent separation of wet and dry areas for high ease of maintenance of the complete system
  • 1-2 swivel-in grinding spindles for grinding concave cam forms even at closely juxtaposed grinding points (20 mm) (optional)
