DKSH's Heping Distribution Center located in Yangmei, Taoyuan is the first consumer goods and healthcare facility in Taiwan to be awarded the TAPA's level “C” certification for Facility Security Requirements – an internationally recognized accreditation for world-class standards of security and safety practices in logistics and supply chain.
Media Release
Taipei, Taiwan, October 20, 2021 – DKSH has been awarded the distinguished Transported Asset Protection Association's (TAPA) level “C” certification earlier this year. The recognition attests DKSH's adherence to Facility Security Requirements in its distribution center in Heping Road of Taoyuan City.
Gordon Chen, General Manager, Supply Chain Management, DKSH Taiwan, said: “As a leading market expansion services provider, security has always been a top priority for DKSH. The TAPA certificate is a testament to our strong commitment to ensuring the security and safety of the products stored and transported under our care as well as to complying with the top international requirements.”
The TAPA certification is internationally recognized as one of the most stringent and independent logistics and supply chain security certifications. As a non-profit organization, TAPA unites global manufacturers, logistics providers, law enforcement agencies, and other stakeholders with the common aim of reducing cargo losses from supply chains through the development and application of global security standards. To achieve a TAPA certification, an organization is subjected to a wide range of stringent auditing by independent TAPA-trained and accredited auditors, focusing on how the goods are securely handled throughout the whole supply chain in the facility.
Together with the ISO 9001, ISO13485, the Pharmaceutical Inspection Co-operation Scheme for Good Manufacturing and Distribution Practices (PIC/S GMP and PIC/S GDP) as well as the Medical Device GDP and GMP certifications, DKSH Taiwan is proud to be certified under TAPA, proving its commitment to establishing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive security management system to protect people, products, and business partners' properties.
