DKSH satisfies Indonesian consumers’ appetite with King’s Fisher brands

With social distancing policies, curfews, changing consumer behaviors and shifts in business strategies as a result of COVID-19, storing affordable and nutrient-packed products with long shelf lives has become a new normal for most household. DKSH and King’s Fisher now partner to provide quality products to Indonesian regions of Java, Sumatera, to Sulawesi island.

Jakarta, Indonesia, March 30, 2021 - DKSH Business Unit Consumer Goods, the leading partner for FMCG companies seeking to grow their business in Asia and beyond, has started a full-agency services agreement with King’s Fisher, Indonesia’s leading canned fish producer since January 2021. The agreement will cover sourcing, market analysis and after-sales services with their official Indonesian entity PT Bali Maya Permai Food Canning Industry. The aim of the partnership is to grow King’s Fisher products across 22 Indonesian regions in DKI Jakarta, West Java, East Java, Bali, North Sumatra and Aceh as well as to several areas in Sulawesi island during the first year of partnership.

DKSH’s extensive capillary distribution network across modern and traditional trade channels will be accommodating King’s Fisher’s canned fish products (sardine, mackerel and tuna), to fulfill Indonesian consumers’ appetite towards nutrient-packed products with a long-shelf life during these unprecedented times.

Ricky Sukardjo, Director, PT. Bali Maya Permai Food Canning Industry, commented: “We sincerely welcome DKSH as our distribution partner of choice. We believe that our growth in 2021 will be attributed, in part, to the incredible partnership we build with DKSH that enables us to extend our customer reach. This is an exciting step, and we are passionate about creating a successful sustainable partnership”

Victor Nesa Benedict, Vice President, DKSH's Fast Moving Consumer Goods Indonesia commented: “The COVID-19 pandemic and the challenges it has brought with it has motivated us even more to enrich people’s lives in Indonesia. This new and exciting partnership with King’s Fisher is an example of DKSH’s capabilities as the trusted partner for multinational companies in a large market like Indonesia. We are fully committed to driving availability and visibility of these renowned brands and look forward to a long-lasting partnership.”
