DKSH publishes the second report on its environmental, social and governance performance based on the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). The report demonstrates DKSH’s commitment to continually stepping up sustainability efforts. The company also includes its contribution to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals for the first time.

Zurich, Switzerland, July 15, 2019 – DKSH has published its second report in accordance with Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards. For the first time, the company includes its contribution to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), with a priority on the goals relating to access to healthcare; education and professional development; decent working conditions and entrepreneurship; infrastructure for a sustainable economy and climate action.

Furthermore, the report documents the performance and achievements in the field of sustainability in 2018. Regarding environmental topics, DKSH focused on increasing energy efficiency of its operations with associated carbon savings and expanded its carbon reporting. The recently implemented transport management system reinforces DKSH’s safe driving policy and will further reduce emissions.

In the social area, DKSH contributed to society by providing access to healthcare and important daily consumption items through its business activities. Moreover, the group increased the investment into its employees through training and supported 34 social projects - twice as many as in the year before.

In governance, an important milestone was the introduction of a Supplier Code of Conduct, demonstrating DKSH’s continued commitment to promoting high standards of ethical business practices in its supply chain.

Stefan P. Butz, CEO, DKSH, commented: “As a leading Market Expansion Services provider, our business is built on integrity, trust and reliability. We are pleased to share the latest update on our sustainability performance. Achievements such as initiatives to reduce energy consumption, the implementation of ISO certification on IT security management or zero work-place fatalities underline our commitment to continually stepping up our sustainability efforts in the years to come.”
