In line with its strategic focus in Business Unit Consumer Goods of capitalizing on its leadership position and strengthening its regional footprint in Asia, DKSH has partnered with Nando’s Grocery International Limited. As part of the agreement, DKSH will promote the signature PERi-PERi products in Malaysia and Brunei.

Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, March 1, 2021 – DKSH Business Unit Consumer Goods, the leading partner for consumer goods companies seeking to grow their business in Asia and beyond, has been appointed by Nando’s Grocery International Limited. DKSH will drive growth for the signature PERi-PERi sauces and condiments by the well-known international food and restaurant brand in Malaysia and Brunei.

 

Founded in Johannesburg in 1987, Nando's is a South African restaurant chain. Operating over 1,200 outlets in 24 countries, the company specializes in Portuguese-African food and is famous for its signature PERi-PERi sauce. The name of the sauce derives from the eponymous wild chili pepper originally produced by Portuguese explorers in Southern African territories. With the PERi-PERi recipe itself being a fiercely guarded secret, Nando’s range of sauces combine flavor with varying degrees of spiciness and are made from natural ingredients with no added monosodium glutamate (MSG).

 

As part of the collaboration, DKSH will provide full Market Expansion Services, including marketing and sales, distribution and logistics as well as after-sales services for Nando’s. The partnership covers three product ranges of Nando’s, including their signature PERi-PERi sauces, their PERi-PERi-seasoned mayonnaise called PERinaise and the ready-made bag of spices, combining the PERi-PERi flavoring with hints of lemon, garlic and herbs, called Bag & Bake. DKSH will distribute these products across all modern and traditional trade channels.
