DKSH expands partnership with Kotányi to spice up Malaysian home-cooking

Expanding the partnership, first started in Singapore in 2019, DKSH has been appointed by Kotányi, a purveyor of fine herbs and spices from Austria, to introduce its quality herb and spice brand to the Malaysian market. With this expansion, DKSH’s Business Unit Consumer Goods further capitalizes its regional leadership position in the distribution of fast-moving consumer goods in Asia.

Petaling Jaya, May 31, 2021 – DKSH Business Unit Consumer Goods, the leading partner for FMCG companies seeking to grow their business in Asia and beyond, has extended its partnership with Kotányi GmbH, a purveyor of fine herbs and spices from Austria since 1881, to introduce their leading herb and spice brand for the first time to Malaysia.

DKSH Malaysia will provide full-agency services to drive sales of this brand, including marketing and sales, distribution and logistics as well as after-sales services, covering trade channels from major supermarkets to local convenience stores throughout West Malaysia. The Kotányi range of quality herbs and spices, which comes in a glass jar or spice grinder, will be available on the shelves this month.

“The expanded partnership with DKSH stems from the success we have achieved together in Singapore. We are confident of DKSH’s deep understanding of the Malaysian market. Its extensive capillary network is the competitive advantage we need to grow our brand in a complex market, here,” said Manfred Wildauer, Country Group Manager & Business Development International Sales, Kotányi.

Puneet Mishra, Vice President, FMCG, DKSH Malaysia, added: “Malaysians are very fond of their food and, especially during this period, when many are cooking at home, we are excited to spice up the culinary experience in Malaysia’s households. Not only will we increase Kotányi’s availability to more outlets, but our sales and marketing specialists will also drive increased demand. This partnership is another testament to our regional footprint and strengths in Asia.”
