The Kasemrad International Hospital Vientiane is an impressive tertiary care hospital designed to be the benchmark for private healthcare facilities in Laos. DKSH and Vertiv uninterruptible power supplies were on hand to ensure that the hospital stays operational in the event of any power supply interruption.
The Kasemrad International Hospital Vientiane is the largest private hospital in Laos. Located on a 1.92-hectare site, it has 254 beds and 38 medical examination rooms and provides comprehensive medical services.
It is owned and managed by Bangkok Chain Hospital, a healthcare group that is amongst the leading healthcare services provider in Thailand. The group owns 12 hospitals and 1 polyclinic in Bangkok and several provinces.
Challenge
The biggest challenge for any hospital and healthcare facility is to have a consistent electricity supply for its entire operations and building facility, especially for critical medical equipment, life-saving support systems, and IT/computer infrastructure.
Approach
Having understood the hospital’s power supply requirements, we knew immediately that Vertiv UPS solutions were the perfect fit for our customer. After demonstrating the product’s capabilities, we proceeded to supply, install, test, and commission a total of 200 units of UPS to the location.
Our advantage was that because we are the main distributor for the Vertiv brand in the market, we were able to provide fast support and direct onsite after-sales services to the customer. We also included a three-year warranty for the products and solutions provided.
Result
The installation of the UPS solutions was done successful and comprehensive training on the systems was conducted to the customer. The hospital is already looking at how it can scale up to protect more equipment and facilities to better serve its patients and healthcare professionals.
