The smart automated solution developed by BPS Global for DKSH's new Mapletree healthcare distribution center in Hong Kong has won the Hong Kong ICT Awards 2018 - Smart Mobility Grand Award and Smart Logistics Gold Award. The annual ceremony by the Government of Hong Kong recognizes, promotes and commends excellent achievements in the ITC sector.

Hong Kong, April 27, 2018 – DKSH Business Unit Healthcare, Asia's leading Market Expansion Services provider for healthcare companies seeking to grow their business in Asia, appointed BPS Global, a project management provider, to develop an automatization solution for its flagship Mapletree healthcare distribution center in Hong Kong. The automated features, environmental friendly considerations and customized operations in DKSH's latest distribution center have won the Hong Kong ICT Awards 2018 – Smart Mobility Award, which is steered by the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer and organized by GS1 Hong Kong.
The awards panel commented on the reasons for the recognition: “The smart automated warehouse solution used in the distribution center of DKSH is a remarkable application that maximizes the operation efficiency. It successfully overcomes the challenge of integrating different equipment in a distribution center, which makes this application outstanding.”
Carrie Lam, the Chief Executive of Hong Kong SAR Government, was the guest of honor at the award ceremony. DKSH Hong Kong inaugurated its Mapletree healthcare distribution center in Tsing Yi in February 2018 to provide state-of-the-art distribution and logistics support to its clients. The next-generation healthcare distribution center uses automation equipment, including mobile storage systems and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs).
The Hong Kong ICT Awards was established in 2006 with the collaborative efforts of industry, academia and Government. The annual industry event celebrates excellence in information and communications technology (ICT). The Smart Mobility category incorporates transport, logistics and tourism.
