In a significant milestone for corporate sustainability, DKSH Thailand has been recognized as a Climate Action Leader 2025 by the Agricultural and Food Marketing Association for Asia and the Pacific (AFMA). This honor underscores DKSH Thailand’s deep commitment to driving sustainable business practices that benefit both people and the planet.
DKSH is one of the largest market expansion service providers in Thailand. With over 7,000 specialists delivering value across multiple industries, it has grown into the largest hub in DKSH's global network. It was granted the Royal Garuda emblem, a testament to its status as a trusted partner for companies seeking to grow their business in the Thai market.
Challenge
As a leader in market expansion services, covering sourcing, marketing, sales, distribution, and after-sales support, DKSH Thailand operates within a supply chain-intensive framework. However, this expansive operational footprint comes with inherent environmental challenges.
Transport vehicles contribute to carbon emissions, warehousing facilities consume large amounts of energy, and logistical operations leave behind a significant carbon trail. Recognizing the environmental implications of these necessary activities, we sought to turn these challenges into opportunities for sustainable innovation.
Approach
DKSH Thailand adopted a multi-pronged approach to achieve net-zero emissions in its operations while continuing to deliver operational excellence. Key initiatives include deployment of electric vehicles for product transportation to reduce our dependency on fossil fuels and lower emissions associated with logistics.
Solar panels were installed at our Bangna Consumer Goods Distribution Center, resulting in a significant reduction in carbon emissions. The environmental impact is comparable to planting hundreds of trees and conserving a substantial amount of fossil fuel.
We invested in a large-scale solar rooftop solution at the Samut Prakan Distribution Center which can offset up to 21,500 tons of CO2 emissions over a 30-year period. This initiative has not only reduced emissions but also lowered indoor ceiling temperatures by 10–15°C, enhancing energy efficiency and working conditions.
As part of our green logistics transformation, we introduced electric trucks to reduce transportation-related pollution and support Thailand’s net-zero targets.
Result
These focused, data-backed initiatives have yielded tangible environmental benefits and earned DKSH Thailand industry-wide recognition. The Climate Action Leader Award 2025 celebrates our leadership in embedding sustainability into core business practices. Beyond the accolade, the award has amplified DKSH’s brand reputation as a socially responsible and environmentally conscious organization.
