DKSH Malaysia's consumer goods distribution center in Klang has achieved TAPA's level “C” certification for Facility Security Requirements – an internationally recognized accreditation for world-class standards of security and safety practices in logistics and supply chain.
Media release
Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, January 15, 2020 – DKSH has been awarded the prestigious Transported Asset Protection Association's (TAPA) level “C” certification. The recognition distinguishes DKSH's adherence to Facility Security Requirements (FSR) in its consumer goods distribution center in Klang, Selangor.
This is the second TAPA certification that DKSH Malaysia has achieved. In May last year, the company received TAPA's level “A” certification in FSR for its healthcare supply chain in Shah Alam.
Loke Kah Keong, Vice President, Supply Chain Management, DKSH Malaysia, said: “As the leading player in the Market Expansion Services industry in the country, especially for the fast-moving consumer goods and healthcare sectors, we place high priority on supply chain security. This second accreditation from TAPA demonstrates to our business partners that we are committed to industry-respected best practices in serving these specialized sectors.”
The TAPA certification is internationally recognized as one of the most stringent and independent logistics and supply chain security certifications. As a non-profit organization, TAPA unites global manufacturers, logistics providers, law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders with the common aim of reducing cargo losses from supply chains through the development and application of global security standards. To achieve a TAPA certification, an organization is subjected to a wide range of stringent auditing by independent TAPA-trained and accredited auditors, which focuses on how the goods are securely handled throughout the whole supply chain in the facility.
In addition to the Good Distribution Practice (GDP), Good Distribution Practice for Medical Device (GDPMD), ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certifications, DKSH is certified under TAPA, proving its commitment to establishing, implementing and maintaining a comprehensive security management system to protect people, products and clients' properties.

TAPA works to align its standards with Government regulations and to strive for mutual recognition. A fundamental TAPA objective is to affect positive change in the supply chain risk management and security practices of freight transportation and insurance communities as a whole.
