Mumbai, India, September 3, 2025 – DKSH India, a market expansion service provider in Asia and beyond, demonstrated its commitment to inclusive development and social empowerment as it has partnered with Project Nanhi Kali, The Akshaya Patra Foundation, Tata Memorial Hospital, and the ImPaCCT Foundation,Tata Memorial Centre to roll out a series of high-impact social impact initiatives across India. These projects aim to expand access to quality education, promote child nutrition, and enhance healthcare services in India.
By working with trusted, high-impact organizations, DKSH has supported communities with limited resources through sustainable, scalable measures designed to create long-term change. These efforts are closely aligned with DKSH’s sustainability strategy, which prioritizes responsible business practices. A core objective of this strategy is to contribute to the development of local communities through positive impact programs such as these.
In collaboration with Project Nanhi Kali, DKSH invested in the future of over 400 underprivileged girls by supporting their education and life skill development. The initiative focused on building competencies such as digital literacy, financial awareness, and communication skills.
“At Project Nanhi Kali, we believe that when you equip a girl with essential life skills, you empower her future. DKSH’s support will result in the transformation of not only 400 girls but the impact will also be felt by their families as well as their communities. We truly value partnerships with purpose-led companies like DKSH who believe in investing in sustainable and impactful change in communities,” said Sheetal Mehta, Trustee and Executive Director, K.C. Mahindra Education Trust.
Recognizing the importance of nutrition, DKSH joined hands with the Akshaya Patra Foundation to provide mid-day meals to over 1,350 children in government and government-aided schools across four cities in India. This initiative ensured that children receive the nourishment they need to stay attentive, healthy, and engaged in the classroom.
“At The Akshaya Patra Foundation, we believe that nutrition is the cornerstone of learning and growth. Our partnership with DKSH India strengthens this vision by ensuring that children across communities have access to wholesome meals and the opportunity to focus on their education and future. Together, we are enabling a generation to learn better, dream bigger, and achieve more,” said Dhananjay Ganjoo, Chief Resources Mobilization & Communication Officer, The Akshaya Patra Foundation
In the healthcare sector, DKSH made a significant contribution to Tata Memorial Hospital, one of India’s leading cancer treatment centers in Mumbai, by donating an advanced Intra-operative Ultrasonography Machine. This surgical tool enhances real-time imaging during liver operations, enabling greater precision and better outcomes. To further alleviate the burden on low-income families, DKSH also provided direct financial support for cancer patients, helping cover costs associated with chemotherapy, radiotherapy, CAR-T cell therapy, or surgeries.
Dr. CS Pramesh, Director, Tata Memorial Hospital stated: “On behalf of all our patients at Tata Memorial Hospital, we are very grateful to DKSH - their timely support in contributing towards the Intra-operative Ultrasonography machine will help us serve our patients better. It is support like this which helps us offer the highest quality of care to our patients with the majority being treated at highly subsidized cost and often, completely free.”
Supporting early and lifesaving pediatric cancer care, DKSH also partnered with the ImPaCCT Foundation,Tata Memorial Centre by donating emergency funding for the initial diagnosis of children with cancer. This immediate financial assistance ensures that emergency treatments are provided without delay, enabling early initiation of cancer therapy even when families lack funds. This critical support reduces potential treatment refusals and abandonment, improving overall outcomes by providing families with time to seek further assistance from other funding agencies.
ImPaCCT Foundation, Tata Memorial Centre, Ms. Shalini Jatia, Officer-In-Charge said: “DKSH India has been supporting paediatric cancer patients at Tata Memorial Hospital for two years now. The uniqueness about our organization is that we help towards the initial workup for the children inflicted with cancer. During this stage, very few funds are available to patients as most of the grants come in only post diagnosis. The identified children are most deserving and in their need of support. Timely diagnosis helps us in starting treatment on time, which helps in better outcomes. We are grateful to DKSH? for their generous and wholehearted support.”
Chinmay Mhaskar, Managing Director, DKSH India, stated: “Our collaborations with these impactful organizations align perfectly with DKSH’s purpose to enrich people’s lives. Together, we are creating meaningful, lasting change across education, nutrition, and healthcare sectors in India.”
