Myanmar is a country with rich cultural heritage and a growing economy, yet many communities still face challenges in accessing quality education and essential resources.
To reduce these gaps, DKSH Myanmar has partnered with Withakhar Monastic School in Yangon as part of its social impact initiatives. This collaboration benefits over 100 children annually by providing access to quality education and essential resources. The school follows the national curriculum and combines secular subjects during summer programs, fostering personal growth, social skills, and ethical development.
As part of this initiative, we contributed to the teachers’ salaries, daily school needs, healthcare support, and launched projects such as waste management and recycling programs, empowering teachers and students to adopt environmentally conscious habits and become responsible members of their community. Through sustained support, students gain foundational academic knowledge, life skills, and moral guidance, preparing them for future education, career opportunities, and a brighter tomorrow.
These efforts reflect our purpose of enriching people’s lives and align with our sustainability strategy to create positive social impact. For this commitment, we were honored with the 2025 Corporate Social Responsibility Excellence Award by the American Chamber of Commerce in Myanmar (AMCHAM).
