A multi-well plate compatible model, which measures changes in gene expression during cell culture using bioluminescence of luciferase.

Kruno Series has two product models:

  • WSL-1565 Kronos HT - WSL-1565 Kronos HT is a high throughput support model of the assay system that measures gene expression of living cells in real-time by using luciferase bioluminescence.
  • AB-2550 Kronos Dio - Besides the previous model which was compatible with 35 mm dish measurements, the new Kronos Dio model features multi-well plate measurement functionality with cell culturing capability.

Bioluminescence measurement system for living cell and tissues

The Kronos HT can detect dim and weak luminescence consecutively in 35mm culture dishes for a long time in culture samples such as cells and tissues. The 24x96 well microplates are also compatible. 

Our new Kronos HT further strengthens the functions and performance for high throughput measurement by utilizing the know-how cultivated in the precedent model for measuring luminescence while culturing cells. Kronos HT can be used for high-throughput measurements on biological clocks, changes in drug response over time, cytotoxicity tests, and more.

  • The sample is kept in an incubation chamber with controlled temperature, CO2 concentration, and humidity >90% RH
  • 24x96 wells microplate applicable
  • Long-time detection is available - 1hour~30days
  • 2 plates are measured by 2 PMTs (one PMT to one plate)
  • No plates are moved, PMTs are moved to each well - No shaking of cells, so less damage to delicate cells and applicable to floating cells like hemoglobin

Bioluminescence measurement system for living cell and tissues

Kronos Dio (AB-2550) is a luminometer designed to detect bioluminescence in living cells and tissues using a photomultiplier tube (PMT). It features precise temperature and CO2 gas control within the incubator, making it ideal for cell and tissue culturing. The Kronos Dio also offers superior performance for multi-color assays, which can detect up to three colors of luminescence simultaneously with an internal optical filter.

Kronos Dio can detect very dim and weak luminescence continuously for a long time in 35mm culture dishes with its high sensitivity. This eliminates the need to prepare multiple samples for each time point to monitor chronological changes in bioluminescence. As a result, Kronos Dio offers a cost-effective and convenient alternative to conventional methods, saving time while ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
