Sustainability is one of DKSH’s five company values. We take responsibility for the environmental, social, and economic impacts of our business activities by making sustainability a focus area in our corporate strategy with oversight from our highest governance body, the Board of Directors.
Our Sustainability Strategy reflects four objectives:
DKSH partners with Klimate to bring tangible impacts to the environment while helping us reach net zero through two carbon-removal projects with accompanying environmental co-benefits.
Direct Air Capture
Direct Air Capture (DAR) is a revolutionary solution in DKSH’s decarbonization approach, whereby carbon dioxide is captured from the atmosphere and permanently locked away in underground rock formations.
Artisanal Biochar
DKSH harnesses the power of biochar for carbon sequestration via two projects located in Thailand. Additionally, we are creating economic opportunities for rural communities in our largest market of operations.
As a participant of the United Nations Global Compact, we are committed to aligning strategies and operations with universal principles on human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption, and take actions that advance societal goals.
We have committed to set near-term company-wide emission reductions in line with climate science with the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi). We are also committed to transparent communication with our stakeholders. We publish a Sustainability Report annually, and engage with several agencies that assess companies according to environmental, social and governance criteria.
